A donor recognition display may be incorporated into an existing wall, walkway, courtyard or structure. It may be preferable or necessary to create a new space in an existing building or set aside space in a new facility. Wherever the program will be executed or displayed, an appropriate material must be selected. Ashford can assist you in selecting a material and creating a design for your donor recognition program, from brick, tile and marble, to granite, glass or various metals.

Ashford supplies easy to follow promotional instructions showing you how to spread the word to prospective donors. Should the need arise, Ashford is equipped to create and produce virtually any type of promotional tool, including flyers, brochures, print ad layouts and even informational video presentations.

Basic order guidelines allow you an efficient format for gathering donor information and converting it to a simple text file through any basic word processor. The material being used will dictate the number of spaces allotted for each donor message. Once the names and messages have been entered and approved for spelling and correctness, a floppy disc containing the basic text files is all Ashford needs to set up your production run.

Once your donor files are entered into one of many Ashford systems, the appropriate material is etched, carved or engraved with each message. The pieces are carefully checked and matched to the original files supplied by you. Once completed, the pieces are packaged and shipped to your location for placement.

Ashford supplies installation direction and advice to your installation team. Should you need to find a contractor in your area to execute the installation, Ashford will discuss the proper handling of each donor item with your contractor. This is to ensure a quality installation that will serve your donor needs and appropriately thank each contributor with a special recognition plaque, tile, or brick.

Several types of brick are available. The choice of brick is determined by the type of lettering or graphics to be used. The standard most frequently chosen is a hard brick tile, which affords the cleanest text representation with or without color filling.

Granite and Marble are available in a vast array of colors and patterns. Typically, text and graphics are either carved or etched. The color and type selected determines the method of graphics application. Granite is recommended for walls and walkways. For outdoor applications granite is harder and resists scratching. Marble is best suited to interior wall displays.

For interior donor displays, clear acrylic and glass panels allow for several types of graphic applications. They may be etched, engraved or screen-printed with simple or intricate graphics and text. Mounting hardware can be selected to match existing fixtures.

This resin substrate presents a cost effective alternative to cast dedication type plaques. The ultra hard yet workable properties of this material allow a carved relief and a vast array of color finishes. Custom layouts, including logos are not a problem and attachments can be made with adhesives or common hardware systems.

Ceramic tiles are a great medium for donor recognition. The wide choice of colors and styles available make it possible to design a program to match existing color schemes. Tile is also a great choice for wet locations such as fountain and pool areas.

Flat stock premium grade stainless steel makes a durable and attractive base for application of etched text and graphics. The etching processes used allow for even the finest text and logo presentation. A most effective display, both visually and technically is mirror-polished stainless steel. It is impervious to cleaning agents and the tarnish free surface holds up better than brass or bronze plate. Finished panels can be mounted with custom or common hardware systems.
